Christmas Minis Sessions are here. I had such a great turn out for my first ever mini sessions last month that I decided to do one more before the weather did us in. Its November 27th and the location is to be determined. Pics will be edited that weekend and ready for pick up by the beginning of the week so you can get your Christmas cards out! Out of Office

Yeah so I must apologize bc I am way better at updating facebook than this blog. I have been crazy busy with sessions lately and I am afraid I am to far behind to even try to catch up (with bloggers lack of speed in the picture department I would be here for years) so I wont but they are all avaiable to view on facebook on the Boussonphotography page. I will however resume my post with such a wonderful announcment and some pics too. As of last saturday I officially have my first wedding behind me! Yup thats right I photographed a wedding and survuved ans since then I have had 2 inquiries for future weddings. I would love to say yes right off the bat but i am still a little hesitant I mean weddings are a HUGE deal you know like a ONCE in a lifetime thing (yeah I understand thats not necessarily the case for some but you get my drift). What I am saying is that my motto has always been that this is something I love that I feel God gave me to share with others. With portrait sessions I can always "re-shoot" if they dont turn out, I mean I would probably never get called to do their family pictures anymore but atleast I know I delivered a great product/service. With a wedding its a little different as in you only get one shot so DONT screw it up! This is the part that makes me nervous. All I can do is continue to go strong and take pics often and LEARN all those manual settings ( I shoot in manual but I often find myself in aperture priority with my f/stop wide open...not ideal in most people eyes but i love it) For this wedding shoot I made sure to jump out of the box and try my hand at full onmanual I think i did good but i did become quick with my left hand switching into av mode to get the same shot i got in manual ( cant lode good shots in effort to learn hehe) Well enough technical talk the couple I had the pleasure of photographing was Mary & Will. Another client gave them my info and the rest was history :) They were so fun and carefree and so in LOVE it was oozing from every pore ( and talk about infectious attitudes I was in such a great mood after shooting their pics) We did a "wedding shoot" at Overton Park a few days before the ceremony and it went awesome and then saturday I drove down to Nesbit MS to photograph the wedding. It was a great day and a great shoot and I cant wait to get all the pics edited and sent to the happy couple. Other than the wedding I have been shooting famly and newborn photos, getting ready for my mini session coming up and scheduling a lot of fall family photos. More posts to come promise :)

This is the first ever Bousson Photography Mini Session

After posting a question on facebook if anyone would be interested in some fall mini sessions

I was AMAZED by the overwhelming response I recieved so what the people want the people will get! Above is an advertisement for the first session. The time frame will allow for 10-12 sessions to be booked (first come first serve). These are meant to be fun fast sessions to get a few great shots of the family without the cost/time of a full session. Each session will include a cd of 5 images from the shoot for reprinting purposes ( great for Christmas Cards etc.) . I am even going to try and put together a few Christmas Card templates if possible for those interested for a 5.00 fee ( you pick out template you like and picture you want used then i upload the card onto your cd and you just print!) I am starting with October 2nd but i will also have a session the following weekend as well, same time. At this point I do not know what my work schedule is and that will dictate wether the second session is saturday or sunday. If these book as fast as I got interest in them then I will look into doing this again in early November. Sweet Caroline

This is Little Miss Caroline she is one of Wills friends from FTM (First Time Moms). Her mom Doty was nice enough to think of me to take this little ladies one year pics and we had a wonderful shoot. She gave me lots of her signature serious face but all i had to say was the word "model" and her face gave me the biggest SMILE! (shhhh dont tell her daddy the magic word) We had bunches of fun despite the heat and ended up with great pics cant wait to get them to her mommy :)

Big News for Bousson Photography

As of well.......5 minutes ago I just booked my first wedding. Its a small affair and they have asked me to be a part of it :) Can you tell I am super happy! I have also been asked to second shoot a wedding in December. My photography world is expanding woo hoo! More to come in the future!!!

Love From Texas

So my practically family/friend Jessica (whose blog is lovefromtexas.com-hence the title) was in town this weekend visiting family and asked me to take some maternity shots for her. I was thrilled bc I have had so many ideas in my mind and I have been wanting to branch out and do more than just shoots of babies (although i love those too) Well she gave me free run to come up with whatever i wanted. Well since they were from Texas i decided to go with an earthy country theme, even though they are very country i think that we pulled off the shoot quite well. It worked out great and i think we all managed to stay somewhat comfy (except for me saying stand up sit down move here go there over and over to a 7 month pregnant chica) I took so many photos and still have a few on que to edit so i couldnt edit any just yet but wanted to share some of the sooc shots bc they didnt need any work anyways!

I have my first "real" maternity shoot tomm with Jessica (Love from Texas). They are in town from Texas...(duh?!) and she asked me to take some pics of her and Miss Hadley. Have I mentioned that I am SUPER excited about it! I have been making mental notes of what I want in the shoot for the last week or so and tonight in between editing photos I goodled maternity pics and got some more ideas. First off can I just tell you how gross some pics are I mean chiffon and a belly...eek! What is attractive about that and Who would want to see that up in your house soooo I am going for a more earthy feel. I beliee this other blog i read stated it perfectly (sorry i dont remember what blog ) but it said there is already a preggo in the pic so its a maternity pic from the get go you dont have to point out the belly. lol. So we will see what I come up with and youknow I will post them. And above are some inspiration photos i found. Our shoot is gonna be at Shelby Farms

Latest Shoots

Ok so I have way more than these few pics to post to catch up on all my latest shoots but these are some that i just finished editing that are my new faves. These are from a couple weeks ago but due to my crazy schedule (including but not limited to attempting to be a seamtress, editing photos, working and a mini vacay at the lake) I am just not working on them!

New Session Info

Ok so to start off I have to say THANKS to everyone who has contacted me about doing shoots for their family. I never imagined I would getas much business as I have :) At the same time my family is growing (no Im not preggers) my little man Will is turning into a big boy right before my eyes. With that being said the time has come for me to make some changes. When Will was smaller I could tote him along to photoshoots but now he is a little to mobile to do so and well I really dont have the child care available to continue to do shoots everyday nor do I want to be away from him that much. I do think I will be putting him in MDO and extra day a week and this will allow for a day packed with shoots. My goal is to pick a day (probably wed or thursday) and schedule 2-3 sessions this day (8/10/12). In the furture I may add more to this day just have smaller time frames for shoots but right now I still like to take my time and not rush things. For newborn sessions/special circumstances (ie families who can only do weekends etc) I will have one opening on saturday mornings and monday mornings at 8 am ( I am an RN and I work Fri and Sun nights so I get off at 730 that is why I will be doing 8 so I can shoot then sleep!) I also am asking to please call me as early as possible to schedule shoots. I unfortunately have had a few requests recently for photoshoots within days of contacting me and to simply put it I am not super woman and was unable to find child care to accomodate these needs. The further notice I have the easier it is to arrange child care etc to focus on your shoot. this doesnt mean I cant or wont try to work things out but it will definitely make things easier for everyone ( on top of that if I continue to see the same amount of shoots I may be booking up faster with the decrease in session availability) . I thought for a long time how to word this post. I hope it doesnt come across harsh or rude that is not my intention I just want to continue to share what I love with others but also be able to enjoy my family so setting some limits for myself ( I tend to stretch myself thin) will help keep my sanity. Maybe one day I will quit my full time job and solely focus onphotography but for now it is stil a passion that I do one the side. Been a While since i said WOW

So I have been busy with shoots now for a while (reason for the slack in blogging) and although there are always great images from each shoot it has been a little while since i stopped and just said WOW to a picture i took before i do anything to it. Well i am slightly behind on editing (life has gotten in the way lol) and i was just running through my "to edit" pile this evening and htis image caught my eye and well lets jsut say if it wasnt my bed time i would be staying up all night to edit this little ladies pics ALL night! Who needs sleep anyways right hehe. Well i will be snoozing but tomm is a new day and i cant wait to begin!!!!

Breathtaking

I know I really need to be blogging about all the fabulousshoots I have been doing but thats just it editing pics with a 1 year old in the house is an adventure in and of itself so unfortunately the blogging has taking a back seat! But when I did this one I just knew I had to share. Sometime I even surprise myself. I consider evey shoot a learning experience I always tru to step outside my comfort zone at some point in each shoot and this is the result of playing with lighting. I wasnt even sure I would I get anything "edit" worthy but boy was I wrong!!!! I love this pic-so much that I am going to enter it in the I heart faces "baby" category this week!

Playing catch up!

Well it feels so good to say that I am back on track and all orders are finished and up to date! I have been blessed to be a very busy bee lately and with my sons first birthday I got a little behind, I was actually taking the whole 2 weeks to get pics edited lo but hopefully with these new actions I am using to edit I will be keeping up :) Above is a snippet from my shoot yesterday out in Eads. the family was great and the kids were too cute. there were tons more pics than this but since my collage only allows 5 here you go! I hope to be posting more pics from past shoots soon! I have been overjoyed by everyones word of encouragement on facebook, I love taking pictures and I am so glad that god has given me this trade to share with others! and now that I am finsihed up and posted I think I will be hitting the hay I got an early am newborn shoot tomm and I gotta ring my a game!

Myles mother Courtney asked me to take his newborn pictures and I said of course. And let me just tell you he was the best little baby the whole time! he was so happy and alert, just an absolute breeze to photograph. He didnt even really get fussy until the very end and that was only because he was hungry! I think the pictures turned out great and trully showed his personality!

Holidays=Impromptu Photo Shoots :)

Well of course I take my camera everywhere and Easter was no exception. Not only did I get great shots of my little man but I also got great shots of all the "families" and the great grandchildren and even a practice engagement shoot for my cousin-in-law who just recently got engaged here are just some of the many pics! and sorry that I use the same template to upload pics every time when i try to upload single pics it doesnt load does anyone else hae this problem??? I dont know if it is bc i am using raw photos now so they are larger??? who knows but this template is the only one i have found that i like so until there is another cute one out there yall will just have to live with this one lol! I hope to be sharing lots more pics soon i am getting lots of business and i am feeling sooo blessed that people are interested in my work!!!!

Lillys First B-Day Shoot

Lilly turned one not so long ago and her mom asked me to take her pics and they were a huge success. Mary is expecting a little boy very soon and i cant wait to get pics of him!!!

After some editing

Ok so I finally finished editing my friend Amy's kids pics today and they turned out so good. But I have to say this is one of my favorites!!! I put a different spin on it and it actually lookds like an oil painting almost. I would love to get something similar to this of Will and hang it in my house! We wil see if I am as successful with my own child lol! I have lots of upcoming shoots so more pics to come i promise!

Graysons Newborn Shoot

Ok so yesterday was the day of the big shoot I have been looking forward to. I had bought and made several props and I could not wait to use them for the first time. Well all I have to say is HANDS DOWN I think they were a success. Every shot I took had so much potential and most of them didnt even require editing i just touched em up to my likng and added some fun effects! I am so thankful the ERin let me take pictures of her new little man. I also feel very blesses that so many people have already wuestioned me about doing some of their family photos. Let me just say that I am more than willing to capture anyones moment, ohotography is my passion and if I can just share even a smidge of that with people then I am all for it! Well enough about me I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I appreciatte the support! Back to the subject at hand...Grayson! He was such a trooper with me poking and proding at him. Here are just a few of the many great shots I got. I look forward to watching him grow through my lens:)

Newborn Photo Sessions

Hey Everyone just wanted to let any soon to be moms out there that I have ordered these two awesome photo props and I cannot wait to use them for a shoot i have coming up this next week...HOPEFULLY they will make it here in time.
