Spring is a coming....

they always say live and learn well Sorry folks but this blog has taught me a lesson in that department. I go and create a new pretty blog to get my name out there and then I hardly have any pictures to post on here due the fact that it is Winter. Not exactly prime time for photo sessions (unless you wanna become a human popsicle) So I promise as the weather warms up so will this blog but for now here is a little teaser from our Wonderfully warm weekend that did indeed prove that spring is a coming.....

So of course

I start this blog the day before i work a couple of nights in a row so the first litle post stands alone. With it being so cold outside i dont have any recent shoots but i did want to post some of my favorites pictures I have taken over the past few months (this may be long due to photos in future posts I will try to put them in collages)Blogger would only let me upload so many and it is time to pick Will up from MDO so I will post more later!

First Post of the New Blog!!!

Ok so the pressure is on I feel that this post needs to be mind blowing....and for all of you hoping that it will be SORRY to burst your bubble. The Fact of the matter is that I have been working on this blog for a couple of months now and its not exactly how I want it but I knew if I didnt do it now I would chicken out again so here goes nothing (see everytime I think I am ready to share with everyone I get that -your not good enough to be doing this- feeling)! As you can read up top or over to the left My name is Cassie (if you didnt know me already) and I LOVE photography. I will not sit here and try to sell myself as a "professional" that I am not I would like to call myself an accelerated amateur if there were such a thing. I have been told by many that I have an "eye for photography". I dont know if that is what its called I just know that I have a fire inside my heart to get the shot not matter what the cost! If that means laying in sand then so be it, standing on a wobbly rock anout to kill myself...so be it, making the silliest faces you will ever see to amuse a toddler (while looking like an idiot) then so be it! I started out taking pics for family and then slowly I started taking pics for friends. This led to me buying a big momma camera and 4 additional lenses to do the trick. I also got a pretty crafty editing kit and now I feel like I am on a roll. I get that even with an "eye" you still need some education so I am currently in a 8 course photography class and I will keep you guys posted as I learn more. I dont know what to say Photography is just my thing and I feel that this is my talent God has given me to share with others who so choose to partake in it. so if you liek what you see as I post pics on here please feel free to contact me to set up a shoot. Its kind of funny after getting all of this ready to put my heart and soul out into this blog world I didnt even get any pics ready (haha go figure right?) Well I guess there is always something. So instead of photos for this post how about this I will tell yall a little about my header I created. 1-I wish it were bigger but I am not super skilled in the blog world yet so I guess it will have to do for now. Ok no really the colors are obviously my favorite colors. Damask isnt really a "color" but I love anything damask print and then green its so calming and soothing. These are the colors and prints of Wills nursery. The three pics are what I would call my 3 favorites pictures right now. the left hand picture is baby James. He is my husbands cousins (Tiffany) child (you still with me?). The middle is of course Will on a recent trip to the zoo. And lastly the picture on the right is of little miss Madison who is my friend Carrie's little girl. They all just represent milestones in my photography to me anyways. I can look at pics from the beginning to now and see how much I have grown and these three pics stand out to me as true moments of growth. Now I know someone else may look at them and see flaws but I look at them and see moments that I will cherish a lifetime. AFter all this typing I think my insomniac self is actually getting sleepy so Goodnight for now. I look forward to posting work on here and hopefully sharing my love of photography with others out there.
